Part 1- Marinate the chicken
- Dice the chicken into bite sized pieces.
- Mix all of the spices, chilli flakes, lemon juice, garlic, pepper and salt.
- Add the diced chicken into the mixture. Coat it thoroughly.
- Marinate the chicken for 2-24 hours. The longer the tastier!
Part 2- Cook the chicken on the barbequ
- Heat the barbeque for approximately 15 minutes.
- Have your skewers ready. If you own metal skewers, AWESOME! If you own wooden ones, remember to soak them in some hot water before using.
- Thread the chicken onto the skewers. Level up your game by alternating the meat with vegetables such as onions and bell peppers
- Cook the chicken on the barbeque until it is cooked through to the middle. Test if it is cooked by poking a toothpick through a piece. The juice that oozes out of the chicken should be clear, not pink or red.
- Turn the kebabs a few times to make sure that they are cooked evenly on all sides.
Part 3- Serve
Take the kebabs off the skewers and serve
Top tip: Serve it with your favourite sides like hummus or tahini.
You could buy Tahini from Bakkali.
Or we can teach you to make hummus!
